I think GA Tech is pretty good. But Goodlet & their press really carries them. When Goodlet and when they can't turn you over... they struggle.

Ga Tech is a top 15-20 team. They beat exactly one ranked team all season. Unfortunately, that's not good enough to compete with Baylor playing at or close to its best basketball.

soooo, its Baylor... and everybody else?

Yes, but not with the margin for error that UConn had in 2010, say. And even then, UConn almost managed to shoot itself in the foot in the championship game.

Marshall has disappeared this post season.... she was great in the ACC tourney... and a pretty good regular season performer. Not sure what has happened... but they needed her... Goodlet... and Wallace to have big games today... and that didnt happen. But they had an excellent year... first Sweet 16 in program history.

GA Tech will be pretty good next year with a great guard combo with Marshall & Wallace. They will miss Goodlet pretty badly.

They beat a 15 - 20 ranked team, a 4th seed by 15 points.
Does anyone think UCONN wouldn't have done as well or much better?
Let's not get carried away.

The final score really does not indicate just how much of a blowout this was. GT made a good amount of shots when the game was well out of hand.

At the beginning of the season, I didn't think Baylor was as good as the hype. I thought Griner was overrated and a bit lazy. Half way through the season, I reversed my opinion. Now, I think it's Baylor and everybody else - not even close. Brittney has improved so much since the beginning of the year, and Sims is, well, Sims. The scary thing is that Brittney gives the appearance of being nowhere near her potential. If she continues to work hard between now and next season, hits the gym and weight room, the heights she could achieve next year could be astounding.

I do think Uconn can beat Baylor this year, but only if everything goes right for Uconn and Griner and Sims have a bad day or get in foul trouble. I say this only because, as a team, Uconn has been playing lights out lately. I really admire what Baylor has accomplished this year.

Speaking as a Baylor fan, the feeling is mutual. It's amazing what UConn has accomplished in an "off" year. I'd like to see a rematch in the championship.

Baylor is a terrific team. Right now the odds on team to win it all.

BUT.....to use the game against GT to determine that is not how I would look at it. It's been their entire body of work. And while it was great to see how much Griner has improved, until they meet a team with comparable talent, the final outcome is certainly not pre-determined.

Could not have said it better ... my sentiments exactly.
