Kind of funny to read the speculation based on projected performance based on high school rankings of kids. Is there a likelihood that all will turn out as projected? Maybe. But what seems apparent from tte little video I've seen of Irwin is that she has very good skills inside and out, a quick release coupled with good size, and a high hoops IQ. Will she ever start or get starters minutes, hard to say, but it seems as though she has the potential to bring a lot to the table. We are lucky, lucky fans to have such riches.

UConn gets the reputation that all their recruits are 5* players and McDonalds All Americans. Bent and Irwin shows this isn't the case. I think the best attribute of a "team" is everyone knowing their roles. The superstars have to be superstars, the bench players know they are bench players and support the starters when they're on the court. The starters cheer on the bench players when they are sitting on the bench. One of the reasons why players transfers is because they don't understand their role on the team. (I think that's happened to that UConn player last year). So knowing the proper role on the team is important.

You may want to go do something else. When Kentucky's coach saw Molly in a tournament last spring he said this HS junior could play for him "right now." Her exposure on the AAU circuit was limited, but Mitchell was talking about a 5 star player. If Geno says "she's perfect" and we have no one like her, then she's pretty special. As for why "that player" bugged out last winter, you have no clue.
