Iowa State is 7-26 all-time against the Lady Bears and 1-14 all-time in Waco.

The Cyclones are looking for their first win at Baylor since topping BU 88-43 on Feb. 5, 1997.

Wednesday's night's game marks the 12th time in the series history in which both teams are ranked. Baylor leads 9-2 in those games.

I hope the one person who has voted for ISU to win hasn't put any money on this game. Then again, maybe that's the way to gamble. Jackpot is pretty big when you win betting against all odds.

I think Baylor will blow Iowa State out in Waco.

The better game tonight will be Rutgers at Iowa, but that's only showing on BTN Plus, unfortunately.

I think Iowa State has a good squad but I think Baylor is too much for them, especially in Waco

I think they will have to hit the 3 at a very high percentage and have everyone having a good shooting night outside the paint. I just think they size and athleticism of Baylor will be too much. But I will say I am a little nervous just because they are a good shooting team.

Wow. At this point in time it's impossible to imagine Baylor getting doubled up by anybody, especially on their home floor. An entirely different era.

Iowa State had some powerhouse years in that era, and before Mulkey got there in 2000 Baylor alternated between mediocre and horrible. 1996-97 was the inaugural year of the Big 12. Two years later, in March 1999, Iowa State beat UConn in the Sweet 16.

I do remember them having some strong teams. One of their standout players was from Seattle, I want to say Lindsey Wilson?

19-18 ISU with 2:06 left in first

Carleton with 13 pts
She’s up for this game.

24-22 BAY end of first

Carleton with 16 of the 22 pts for ISU.
Only one those scores was from the three.

Bridget Carleton had a really off game against Texas. Not so against Baylor. She just scored 16 in the 1st quarter.

.-.
Carleton is going off, and keeping ISU in the game. She has 21 points, including 2 "and-ones," midway through 2Q.

Baylor looks slow, nothing like the quickness they showed against UCONN.

Baylor finishes 2Q on a 13-5 run to lead 41-35 at the half. A 3-pointer by Lauren Cox on the last possession gives Baylor lots of momentum going into the break.

Carleton has 25 of ISU's 35 points. Without her this is a blowout.

41-35 BAY at the half

Brown 10 pts, 4 reb, 3 blk

Carleton 24 pts,1 reb, 2 stl

.-.
In other action, Iowa leads Rutgers 35-33 at the half. It's a pretty high quality game. Gustafson (who else) leads all scorers with 18 points on 8-9 shooting.

Oh oh, those Mulkey halftime adjustments.
Carleton up 3 PF early in third

Iowa is holding strong, leading Rutgers 60-54 with 6 minutes to play. Gustafson has 30 points and 9 rebounds. Ridiculously efficient 13-16 FG shooting. Further cementing her place as 1st Team All-American.

Baylor with all starters in double digit scoring.
ISU only have two in double digits. Carleton stifled in the second half.

Baylor with all starters in double digit scoring.

Nothing from the bench though. 2 for Smith and that's it. She's been so good the few times I've watched Baylor play.

.-.
Brown and Cox are a combined 14-20 from the field. That's getting it done.

Coming down to the wire in Iowa City. Rutgers down 3 and just got a key steal with 50 seconds to play. Stringer calls timeout.

Hawkeyes up 6 now w/ 17 seconds left, should be able to hold on. Good win for them. Keeps the Big 10 race fairly wide open at this point.

Big Ten race is far from over. They've also expanded to 18 games this season. Rutgers has another date with Maryland on Feb. 10, and a home-and-away with Indiana. Plus plenty of other teams that have shown themselves to be no doormats.

Gustafson finishes with 32 points and 12 rebounds. Her consistency is incredible.
Kathleen Doyle added 17 and was a major factor in the game. Both she and Tania Davis had 6 assists.

Rutgers competed well but shot cold from outside, only 4-25 from the arc.

Lauren Cox had a great game. 22pts 9rb 7ast 2bl
All five starters scored double figures and Chloe Jackson has done a great job becoming a point guard she got a season high 11ast and had double double with 11pts.
