Now that I've had a stray minute -- semester is over, papers graded, committees are done meeting -- let me sketch what I see in the cumulative chart. And by the way,
@NycUcWbbFan , thank you so much for putting this together. This is invaluable and clearly also a labor of love. And a tip o' the hat to whomever first suggested it (
@BBallF ?).
Anyway, here are the top 5 rotations in minutes through the first 12 games in both minutes with +/- listed too.
- KK Azzi Ash Sarah Serah -- #1 in minutes and in +/-
- KK Azzi Ash Sarah Blanca -- #2 in minutes and +/-
- Kayleigh Azzi Ash Sarah Blanca -- #3 in minutes and #4 in +/-
- Kayleigh Allie Caroline Blanca Jana -- #4 in minutes and #6 in +/-
- KK Azzi Ash Blanca Serah -- #5 in minutes and #10 in +/-
The gap in both minutes and +/- between #1 and all the rest is huge: 130 total minutes and 171 total +/- compared to #2 with 25 minutes and 40 +/-.
For the Ash fans, it's easy to see that she is an integral component of 4 out of the top 5 lineups. Azzi is part of those same 4, and Sarah is part of 3 of them while KK is also part of 3 of them. Kayleigh figures in two lineups, Blanca figures in 4, and Serah figures in 2 as well.
This is only the top 5. The fact that Geno has tried 90 other lineups shows how broad his experimentation has been so far. I suspect it will narrow down a bit as successful combinations settle out. I wonder how many he will be focused on by the middle of March.
