I am afraid you are correct. Having a runner thrown out at home on a passed ball that didn't get far enough away from the catcher and leaving another runner at third in the first inning was a killer.

Some amazing defensive plays. US hit a sharp liner to 3rd that went off the glove and ricochets into the shortstops glove on the fly and then doubled the runner at 2nd base.

And the US made a circus catch over the left field wall in top of 7th to save a 2 run homer.
