Cory Jas was apparently on campus this past week and seems thrilled to get started. He meade one quoet I found very interesting (could have eben a typo), but ....

"I will be in one of the middle linebacker spots, which I'm very excited about," he said.

A sign we are moving to a 3-4? Just found it interesting. And, for me, anythig other than the woe is me this board has turned in to is interesting.

I wouldn't read too much into it. We've played downs with 4LBs over the last two years, maybe we'll do so a little more after losing a few terricif players on the line after this season. He might also mean a spot on the two deep at MLB. He also might have just misspoken. Either way I really like what we have at the LB position.

Why can't we use the defense that our collective recruits fit. Its not as if we will get everyone we go after. Some areas will be heavier than others. Just fill them into the right scheme for the team as opposed to what happened on offense this past year. You will be a power running team come hell or high water. Oops that didn't work out too well.

I think we have more depth (and young talent) at LB than we do the DL. You've got to get your best players on the field. If that means a 3-4 then so be it.

This is the correct answer. We have had the Lutrus position. And that has been more of a dropback at times. But the Mike ... and the Sam have been Middle Linebackers referenced for 12 years here.
