Her 20...did you mean her 30? She is averaging 30 a game. Or are you already moving ahead to the UCONN game? Who on the WVU roster is going to hold her in check?

1. Defense is a team effort and WV traditionally plays excellent defense.

2. Baylor, other than Kentucky, who had no inside presence, has played a terrible schedule to date.

Now, Sims still might score thirty, but your comments are a little defensive.

She just drives in the lane and draws the foul at will.

I hope we can defend her or she may put 30 on us.

tough to shut her down (obviously) but it doesn't look like she's having to work that hard, especially when penetrating. I like our back line against that penetration better than anything W VA is putting together.

Still, she is a very confident scorer and is not on most people's 1st team AA ballot by mistake....

The zone with 2 in back might be good against Sims. Defenders like Stewie work best with a little space, and we do a very good job of shutting off the middle of the zone anyway. We'll see.

There are realistics posters among us that are (were) concerned that Sims might erupt in this manner.
It makes the upcoming matchup something less than a shoo-in

I have posted twice now that it all depends on the Refs. If Dolson and/or Stewie get two quick fouls, then Geno might explode for a technical. (Don't say that never happens.) Refs seem reluctant to call Sims for a foul, although she did eventually foul out against Kentucky. Didn't Faris cover Sims last year? Hate to see the outcome of a game in the Refs hands, but don't say that doesn't happen either.

She went 14 of 29 from the floor and 14 of 17 from the FT line. Throw in 10 rebounds and 7 assists.

NO one in WV. Boy was I wrong 48 pts. She is monster good.

Are you implying that Tuck would try to guard Sims on the perimeter? Even the fast guards cannot keep her from zipping past them. I can'see that Tuck has the quickness to stay with Sims.

Baylor wins 78--62. Sims was a dominate force tonight as usual scoring 48 points. But they better learn to spread the scoring out a lot more. Sims took 53 -percent of the shots ; and scored 62-percent of the points. Baylor got zero points from its bench. ...Zero.!

That can't happen against UConn and Baylor win. It's obvious, you control Sims you control who wins and who lose. Nobody can stop her , but you can control her 'quality' looks , and thus control the score.

Sims was 14--17 at the FT line. Baylor was 20--24 at the FT line overall.
