Interesting bit of information picked up on SECN

I have been watching pretty much every WCBB game that has been on today. While switching between TX/Stanford and SCar/Winthrop. The announcer mentioned that Sarah Imovbioh was offered a chance to play @Winthrop, SCar & UConn this year. Obviously she chose SCar but, was this well known and I just missed this or had anyone else heard this?

The announcer stated that the Winthrop coach called her after she decided to take her 5th year elsewhere because he knew her from u-19 Nigeria which he apparently coached her in. He said that her reply when he called was that UConn and SCar had already called her and the opportunity to win a NC was going to be her motivation for where she went. The announcers said they asked Imovbioh and she did infact confirm that that conversation did take place. They did not state whether or not when the Winthrop coach called her if she had already chose SCar. I found this very interesting. Obviously with Staley and the VA connection I doubt the choice was hard for her.

Sarah isn't playing a lot of minutes so far; maybe that will change as she gets more comfortable with Dawn's system. You seem to be much more knowledgeable about basketball than the typical fan. Were you a coach at one time?

I coached some 5 year olds once during summer camp lol. I was a decent player in HS was recruited locally for JUCO but my knees were shot from running track and playing baseball. I'm only 28 so I guess I could make a career change if I wanted to coach. I wouldn't count on it happening though.
