More than giving us background, it's a success story. There are several differences between UConn and Louisville and the two that mattered the most were the person(s) filling the AD position and the trajectories of their respective football programs. Give Jurich credit for positioning his athletic department and his programs the way he did. He made a lot of good moves and quickly fixed his bad ones. The football program is on the upswing while UConn's seems headed in the opposite direction. How UConn's leaders failed to recognize that PP was not the guy to build on the 2011 Fiesta Bowl appearance will forever remain a mystery to me.

If the Louisville Ad has been a sucess story, then what
can be said of our previous AD. Jeff Hathaway. The man was an abject failure in his position. As far as Pasqualoni goes it was Hathaway that made that hire. Yes, PP had some rally good years at Syracuse but his program was in steep decline there when he was let go. Now we're stuck with a FB head coach on a downward trajectory andpraying that somebody, anybody invites us to their party in order to remain relevant ib college athletics
