About of 18 months ago, my Facebook and Instagram accounts were "permanently" disabled because of a post against "community standards". The only thing I can think of was that I joked that a buddy should sell a kidney to support his cigar habit.
I tried going through the link to appeal, uploaded my ID etc. to no avail. I did that a few times a week. Basically after 30 days, it says that I'd never get my account back and I stopped. About 5 months later I got an email that said "Someone may have accessed your account." There was a link in there to secure my account and I was back. Just like that. The email came from
security@facebookmail.com.
Check out the Reddit sub
r/facebookdisabledme. It's more of a support group, but there are things you can do. Many people have success appealing to their Attorney General's office through the AG's website. I did get a response but it was months after I got my account back.
On a related note. This happened to my daughter as well and she also got her account back. Don't give up.
