I'll bet nobody really knows and I would think a lot of these deals are cut with confidentiality top of mind.

@BBFGExecDir - any thoughts on if these are relatively in the neighborhood or completely out of the country?

Since you are closest to the subject - any grounding insight appreciated.

Seems like would be wider ranges than this. G5 would expect something much smaller.

How do you decide on what to pay top recruit that will not be a starter, maybe for even 2 years? What does an Arch Manning get to sit at Texas? What does he get if starter gets hurt and he plays?

What happens when backup plays better than starter, how fluid is NIL money?

An example is UConn QB room. How much to get Evers to transfer in vs. freshman from Texas or keep RSF from Mass. and what happens if our Maine whipping boy wins the position, does he get to renegotiate his deal?

Going to be some "me" time during the season on some of these teams where NIL money and performance don't coincide.

Well the tweet did say it was specifically for power 4 starters.

I was at a P5 game last year as I Knew a coach there. After game we go to facility where coaches’ offices are. In each were at least 2 adults. I asked him who they were - parents negotiating for their kids. He’d point to 1 or 2 and say we can’t keep them - no way we can stop bama from poaching them. Crazy times.

There is probably ego inflation in these numbers. When people report their salaries they rarely quote a smaller numbers than reality. I assume the same applies to NIL.

If that is the Rashada story, it has been truly crazy. He committed to Miami, then to Florida. Then he got out from Florida, and the story was that their NIL collective was a disaster, etc. He then goes to Arizona State, and is now at Georgia. From the start of his recruitment, the alleged dollar figures seemed way out of line, and while I don't doubt issues with Florida's NIL situation, this kid doesn’t exactly strike me as being honest in his dealings with any of these schools either.
