The 20-year-old Freitas Ice Forum will also be renovated and expanded, although that property already has underground infrastructure for water, electricity and other utilities.

So is this going to be it? No new rink?

Infrastructure work for the new athletic complex to begin August 27th. Finally some movement on this much needed complex.

Portion of Jim Calhoun Way to Close Temporarily - UConn Today

Last night on the way to the women's soccer game I saw the signs saying portions of Jim Calhoun Way was going to be closed starting next week. Also, there is some construction fencing showing up on the other side of the street from Morrone Stadium. I didn't take the time to look to see if anything had been torn up in that area.

The big news to me in this report is that UConn soccer, baseball, and softball will all play their games off campus in 2019. In the previous plan soccer was supposed to stay on campus while construction was taking place.
