Indy trip … who’s going and should I?

We never received the email, last night or this morning. I called UCONN, and they said we are all set and credit card has been charged, so we'll be getting another email Friday night with ticket info. I verified the email address, and I checked the spam and trash folders and nothing there. Hopefully I'll get it, or I hope they are working on Saturday.

All I can see right now is Brothers is holding a Uconn pregame party I assume the Alumni Assoc will as well anyone hear anything so far?

Has anyone ever done the Uconn sponsored pre-game reception? Is it worth doing?
Went to them in Houston and Phoenix. They are fun. If you don't mind shelling out $75, I would do it. Band and cheerleaders are usually there. Benedict gives a speech. Geno gave a speech in 2023 but he's probably a little too busy for it this year.

Jimmy gave a speech in Boston, it was awesome!

Looks like we're in! Got a room in a non-dump about 8 miles away. Drop the cat off at Dad's and we're on the road by noon.
Where are you driving from? Is that noon on Friday or Saturday? I'm leaving around 7 am Saturday from Atlanta to get there. Have a decent hotel near the airport. Still don't have tickets but monitoring the prices as they slowly drop as we get closer to game time.

Driving down from Chicago. What are the best options for flights from the Connecticut area? I'll be picking up people flying in from Connecticut and LA area.
If you are in Fairfield County, bite the bullet and go to LGA or even JFK. HPN is crazy for last minute and BDL not much better. In Hartford? Check BOS. I fly to ORD all the time.......

Unfortunately it looks like stuff downtown is booked up. Near the airport seems to have some reasonable availability. Its only about 10mins to downtown, which I'm hoping is an easy Uber drive.

Tickets are my issue at the moment. Not looking like I'll get them through UConn. Hoping to get lucky somehow.
Check 8 eight losers team sites

Can you guys post when you get the next email with the tickets?? We are leaving tomorrow morning, driving to Indy. If there's a problem with my email (like the last time), I want to reach out to UConn asap. Thanks!

I'm leaving from Hartford. I've done this trip a couple of times before the Brickyard race. We're leaving tomorrow and stopping for the night on the way out.

Been booked for 6+ months ... but with Final 4s (and any huge event for that matter) there are always last-minute cancellations -- keep your hotel browser searches open, refresh often, and be ready to pounce, ha

My flight from Florida leaves at 7:30pm tonight, so I rolled the dice big time, again ...

Just got a room at Crowne Plaza Downtown Union Station ... stayed there before for Champions Classic a few years back -- a bit pricey, but right in the thick of things

That's awesome. I booked something 15 minutes away. Would have loved to be downtown, but was afraid of getting pushed even farther out.

You’re right. I’m really referring to the Gold Coast of Greenwich, Darien, Westport, New Canaan, etc. the people that can afford these types of trips routinely.
Plenty of Uconn fans here in "The Valley"

True road game...

I think part of this is because Illinois has the least nationwide following of the remaining 4 teams so of course most of their ticket purchases are from in-state folks. UConn and Arizona have more nationwide fans in my opinion and Michigan has a much more national alumni base than the others. I use myself as an example, buying tickets to cheer for UConn with an address in Wisconsin means Connecticut doesn't get credit for that in this analysis.

We have Easter duties but if fortune shines on us Saturday the plan is to make the drive early Monday morning. Find tickets and home by Tuesday night
