Indy trip … who’s going and should I?

I just called and of course I was told to call back tomorrow but most likely nothing to be sold to General Public. I did get the UConn sectiosn for those interested. 136-139 lower bowl and section above that is 236-240.
I just want the email from them telling me that my order is definitely confirmed!! 😆

People. Check Breeze Airways. Much cheaper to Columbus.
$275 one way from BDL (flights from HVN don’t start until Summer) with no return option other than Sunday 4/5 or Thursday 4/9 and is an extra hour away from the airports I shared in my link…. Hard hard pass

I looked at Breeze too. It was cheap from Hartford to Columbus, but the return flight just wasn't convenient. I love Breeze; wish it worked for us. Hence, I'm driving.

I've been to Indy twice for women's final four championships. Each time we flew to Cincinnati, and then drove to Indy. Easy drive.

Southwest added a couple flights on Friday to Indy from Bradley.

The UConn men’s basketball team is back in the Final Four! Fans looking to get to the games in Indianapolis are in luck as new flights have been scheduled from Connecticut.

Southwest Airlines added two flights from Bradley International Airport in Windsor Locks direct to Indianapolis for the Final Four games, according to Connecticut Airport Authority spokesperson Brian Spyros.

If you haven't been to Lucas Oil - you will see that this is one of the best for BB in a FB arena. There are no bad seats in the place - and should be much better than it was in Phoenix / Houston / etc.

Seen a number of games there - one of my favorite stadiums.

That's good news. It's usually horrible.

Disagree. Fairfield county isn’t all Greenwich/Darien. There are places like Norwalk/Stamford/Danbury that a lot of UConn alumni come from. As UConn continues to become a better school I bet you see more of the ultra wealthy towns send kids to storrs.
UConn is an extremely popular school for Greenwich kids. I'm from Greenwich and me and my whole family are UConn alums. I know a ton of people from Greenwich who are UConn alums and a bunch of kids who go there now. The valedictorian of my Greenwich Highschool class went to UConn. I also graduated from Greenwich High with Mike and Joe Burton, Robert Burton's kids. Mike went to UConn, (Joe went to Cuse) and Robert became one of UConn's biggest donors. Clearly, there's a building named after that lifelong Greenwich family.

Greenwich also the former home of WWE legend and Husky football alum Pete Gas! Also, the pitcher for my slowpitch softball team years ago….

Has anyone been able to find hotels downtown? Seems like everything has been sold out for days.
There are some very expensive ones but most downtown require stay through Monday (checkout Tuesday) so they avoid the fans that skip out.

I got the ticket confirmation email late last night. Not sure if they went out all at once or as they are distributed to each donor level

Lucas Oil Arena is ready for you. I think this validates my point.

I just called the UConn ticket office and they did sell out of their allotment of tickets so if anyone else is in the same bind as I without tickets that won't be an option.

Can you share what the sections are please? Still looking for 2 myself. Thanks!
Bumping if anyone happens to have extras, looking for 2. Thanks!

I’m a current Season ticket holders but didn’t make the list due to a donation snafu and was told nothing they could do. 😞

Not a bad drive to Indy. I first did it in 1996 for the early rounds at the RCA dome and a few times since including a convention at Lucas Oil which was a nice spot. Around Thirteen hours.

always surprised the best center sections go to the coaches at their annual convention NABC Convention Schedule
I dont know if it still works this way but I went to a couple of Final Fours in the early 2000s and found where the NABC was staying. Hung around the hotel and there were tons of tickets they were getting rid of. In 2006 a D2 coach literally just gave us his tickets for $0. I haven't tried looking into that in years but worth checking it out for anyone that needs tickets - worth a shot

That's a pretty good tip. I bought tickets from a D1 assistant at a school around here in Boston for the 2004 Final Four. A friend of mine knew him and their coaches weren't going. He sold them to me at face value so that was good.

FYI - $394 round trip from DFW-IND leaving Mon returning Tuesday:

Thanks - probably should have qualified non-stop. On a short turn Mon-Tue trip and attempting to use points to free up ticket $, I am looking at mostly non-stop options. Although Midway involves a drive, tickets were much cheaper, even after factoring in rental cars (with I can also do with points...)
