Indiana holds a 57-32 lead at the half.

Florida was called for 16 fouls in the first half — almost one per minute of play. The vast majority of these fouls were committed against Tyra Buss, including a foul that was ruled intentional. I really suspect Amanda Butler told her players to give Buss (IU's best player by far) the rough treatment.

Buss had 25 points in the half, including 19 of 20 from the foul line. That already is an IU record for free throws made by one player in an entire game. Florida has 2 players with 4 fouls each at the half.

I hate the "hack a shaq" strategy. Of course, it only works when the player getting fouled is a terrible FT shooter. And I'm glad they are calling all kinds of fouls on Florida. At this point, rooting for Indiana to win by 100+ (won't happen, but I hate Florida's strategy and want them to pay). Go IU! Go Buss!

Plus let me just add that fouling like that can lead to player injuries. It would be awful if Buss were injured due to Florida's strategy of overly aggressive play and intentional fouling...

This is no hack-a-Shaq tactic. They're hoping to take Buss out of the game with physical play.

They just announced that Tyra's 19 made free throws is just 3 shy of the NCAA single-game record for this season.

Wow - just watched the most of the last quarter ... ugly basketball! No defense which is just as well because anytime anyone got close to an offensive player the whistle blew it seemed. Classic SEC free throw parade game, though unlike the classic SEC game both teams scored lots of points. 51 fouls, 65 foul shots, Indiana a pretty incredible 30-32, while Florida lost the game by shooting 17-33.
