Is this VCU team largely the same as last year or is Shaka Smart doing this with another group of kids?

Almost entirely another group of kids. They lost 5 seniors off last year's team, and only Burgess (small forward) is really back. The other guys were role players to rest the starters.

Last year's team had a 6-9 power forward who shot threes (Jamie Skeen), a little guard Joey Rodriguez who played exactly like JJ Barea, a senior shooter they brought off the bench who had range out to 25 feet (Brandon Rozzell) and a defensive stopper (Ed Nixon). This year, they don't have the power forward who shoots threes or the Barea clone at point, so they play differently - a more traditional line-up that presses you and less like a Euro team on offense.
