I guess Stanley didn't pay attention to Pokey and not playing McCowan gets you fired.

Exactly my thoughts. I wonder if her conditioning is lacking? Vivians actually said McCowan looked better this year than last year.

Myesha Allen unbelievable. Thibault coach of the year. ;)

MHA was really dominant in the first quarter. I think she thought she was back in Louisville. Peddy was surprisingly good.

all you need to do is put on a Mystics Uniform and your skill level increases. EDD who? ;)

There’s no need for her to return. She can continue to cower away in her dad’s basement.;)

MHA was unreal in the first half. Indiana looks rough though...McCowan still coming off the bench, didn't look good in limited minutes. Vivians looked pretty out of it too.

Dupree's game doesn't fit Stanley's offense. Got her taking all these long 2's and a couple 3's.

I think the era of the lumbering big is over.
Las Vegas will be better without Liz taking up A'ja's space inside. The last 2 Champions Seattle and Washington spread the floor and pushed the pace.
Watching Seattle today, still doing the same even with Ezi and Russell in the game. Mercedes hit a 17 footer. Seattle sets a lot of screens in their offense to get shooters open looks.

Besides Hines-Allens game, I was impressed with her demeanor., Serious throughout. No patting herself on the back after the game. Said different players need to step up and today was her turn.

The Fever's top post defender, center Teaira McCowan, came off the bench against the Mystics, finishing with one point and four rebounds in 13 minutes. Stanley said the matchup against versatile post player Emma Meesseman did not suit McCowan, deciding instead to go with a combination of Candice Dupree and Natalie Achonwa inside. Stanley added that rookie forward Lauren Cox would've have been another player that could've drawn the assignment on Meesseman.

Cox joined the team Friday after missing time going through medical protocol. She could play Wednesday against Phoenix.

Could Meesseman handle McCowan? That should have been a consideration. Whatever Stanley’s plan was obviously didn’t work.
