In Retrospect Was Leaving the AAC for the New Big East the Best Move?

The remaining Big 12 schools can still bribe their way to relevance, somehow.

Our move to the Big East serves UConn's long term interests. Rivalries are good.

The future of success UConn hoops is secure but I doubt the long term viability of UConn football.

UConn is closer to joining a P5 conference now than they were a year ago. The home games are better in FB and BB. As a fan, it seems like the right call more and more everyday. A no-brainer, even.
And that is what matters... Eventually, I think we'll have a super conference in football (30-32 schools). When it is set there will be a lot of schools from the ACC(14 members probably soon to be minus Clemson, FSU and ND), Big 10 (14 members) and Big 12(10 members, soon to be 8) looking to reposition themselves going forward.
