The defense did a lot of great things tonight but they didn't come out of this unscathed. There were about five missed tackles on the run that led to the game winning field goal, both CB's got burned deep once (Gratz on a TD, Blidi on a play that set up a TD run), we looked like the keystone kops on their second TD and had trouble initially when they went to a no huddle.

One reality is that if we played this game the way RE played the past few years (which many complained about) we win. We aren't ready yet to try to add to a lead given to us by a special teams TD and a defensive TD. I'm too pissed at the moment to find consolation in the fact that the new staff is trying to do some things on offense but those who complained constantly about the run, run, run, punt method of holding a lead that RE championed need to either claim they were wrong or give the new staff credit for at least trying to make a play when it wasn't absolutely necessary.
