Ok, so I thought it was UCONN's goal to improve game day experience?? I'm there at 5:30, watching warm ups,etc.. Ok, now here's where it gets interesting. Granted now there is literally maybe 3 people in the stands. This guy who works security there, supervisor wearing a blue shirt, all others wearing yellow, says hey buddy you can't sit there, it's for someone else.. These are reserved. I said I'm in the club suites, I have a ticket. I said you are really going to give me .... for watching our team warm up with nobody in the stadium?? I said what about improving on game day experience for fans? He said I don't know about that, I'm just doing my job.. I said seriously you are making me move out of a seat that nobody is in, near or even around? What a joke, now wonder fans aren't coming in early! Who wants to be harassed like that.. Sad, I'll be contacting the Athletic Director's office.

Not to minimize your experience - it shouldn't have happened - but I thought all the game day experience improvements served their intended purpose.

It won't overcome comatose playcalling, but the improvements were noticed and appreciated.

It's hard to monitor when none of them are employed by the school

They don't seem to be the most highly educated crew. Pretty belligerent too. If your realignment tidbits are true we can afford Uconn grads to run security

I'd give AD David Benedict an A-plus for effort and B-plus for execution.

When I heard 'improved signage' I thought they would make an effort to change the signs on the poles in the blue lot. Right now '8' '9' and whatever else they are using cover so wide an area that they're meaningless. "Hey I'm under pole 8" covers about 20 rows

The venue hires the staff.

Overall I liked the changes. Micing the band has already been mentioned elsewhere, but I'll reiterate; that was GREATLY appreciated, as was more UCMB and less annoying DJ crap. Drumline- awsome. The fact that my ADHD, agitated-as-only-Brazilians-can-be wife was entertained through the whole game is a pretty good indicator of a fun experience. Also a shout out to the cheerleading squad- some impressive stuff.

Where the hell was all the smoke coming from? There were a couple of moments when I thought the concourse was on fire...

EDIT: I still find tracking down and distance on the boards harder than it ought to be, or is that just me?

It might just be me and my age, but the music during time outs was intolerable. What the heck happened to good old classic rock at football games?

80% of the Music at a college football game should be provided by the marching band. I'm all for classic rock, so long it is arranged for a drum Corp. and brass.

They played more rock and less of "that rap music or whatever you call it" than I can remember in the past.

Don't Stop Believing was a really poor choice for the "tradition" song at the end of the 3rd. Maybe it's just me, but that song is so cliche at this point that it can't really be a 'tradition' anywhere. Was looking for something more original.

I'll keep better track next time, but I don't agree....other then rock on 3rd down and the lame "Don't Stop Believing" , I don't remember much rock. Could be that it's easier on my ears, so I just don't notice it.

I noted definite improvement in the Gameday experience. Don't forget, at least some of the music has to appeal to the students who BTW did a great job Thursday night. While I love my classic rock - and it needs to continue to be in the mix - its only link to the student body is that most of them were conceived to it.

Overall the tweaks to the gameday experience were an improvement. Seemed like less music overwhelming you after every single game stop (but maybe that's just me). Hearing the band miked up was a nice touch (and the crowd loved the fire drumsticks). And I agree that although all the needed game stats are displayed on the jumbotron, they could stand to be more visible. Good job though.

I actually thought there was more classic rock than the last coupla years. I remarked to my son that I thought that must be because people from the Big 12 were probably watching and that's what they play down south.

The students have got to have their music too so I don't really mind if maybe 50% of the music is not what I particularly like. I can't keep up with music terms so I do not even bother anymore. I think the term rap disappeared more than a decade ago with its place taken by the term hip-hop (which itself seems obsolete now). I have given up worrying about it.

I do not recall hearing that annoying woman interviewer which is an improvement if she was indeed gone. But I did like the introduction of the woman UConn alumna who had come back from deployment(s). Disappointed more people did not give her a standing O.

Damn, I must be getting old.....I never knew rap was out and hip hop was in....probably because I still listen to the Dead and Skynyrd. Did love that they introduced our returning warrior....and the flaming drumsticks and the marching band were great. I would rather listen to them all night.

The tailgating seemed better in the sense those pr$ck security guys on golf carts weren't accosting you every 5 minutes if you weren't in the game 20 mins before kickoff

I'm not sure the rental cops is what's stopping the people from coming in early.
