Illinois Post Game Thread

The Illinois students wanted them, well they got them.

This summarizes what their students thought, and what they got

Who recalled Underwood's first half interview where he said we will stick to our game plan and run at Clingan,

How'd that work out Brad Misunderstood?
It was their only chance

Wow, this team wins big when not shooting well. Top 8 all unselfish and will get ball to whoever has advantage. Clingan had advantage and we played through him. He was so dominant. Easy to see the post position, blocks and steals. But his screening at top of key is dominating. There was a play where Diarra followed him to the rim for a layup. Clingan blocked defenders from getting close to Diarra. The pass to Cam for a layup. Wow.

Well, so much for complaining about the NCAA committee giving us a "Bad Draw". 2 games in NYC, 2 games in Boston. In 64 years of following College basketball in general, and UCONN in particular I've never seen a 2nd half like tonight's game. In some ways it reminded me of the way the UCLA Bruins swarmed on their opponents, in the early 60's. One moment you're only up 5, and.....BANG....ZOOM, you're up 25. They are now 2/3rds of the way to back to back.

Some of the comments I heard from him tonight and repeated by journalists are crazy. If I was an Illinois fan I'd be asking if he's seeing what everyone else with a pulse is seeing
