Here is the space where you reply, with your handle (this is why I'm not doing a poll) and you state what you believe this team could be come march.

Here are the rules:
1) you have to pick an outcome.
(You can't say "who knows who they will be?". Under normal circumstances, this is a very logical response. But I heard so many definitive statements both good and bad that hedging is not allowed.

2) you can pick from
  • out first round
  • out in 32
  • sweet 16
  • elite 8
  • final four
  • in title game
  • winning it all.
  • Or Nit..

Final qualifier: please read.
*you are not allowed to say 'if'

Example: "if sarah becomes the player..."
or "if we don't run into notre dame..
blah blah" replies with 'if' do not hold your feet to the fire enough. They are not allowed here. Even "if they stay healthy" isn't allowed.

3. Please don‘t reply to a post. I want this to be pure predictions. Your prediction should make your pov very clear. Likes and dislikes are allowed.

What is also allowed: under your prediction you can give one or 2 sentences why you believe what you do. I encourage you to start your reasoning with the word 'because' .
Example: because we have paige
or because Sarah will become 1st team AA. Or because this team isn't very good.

Please follow the rules

And

Have fun!!!

Elite 8
There are only 6 teams that can win it all. Since UConn will be the 4th, 5th or 6th overall seed, they will have the harder path and a bad matchup in the Elite 8 game.

We sustain a loss in the Final Four game.

Recognize that it is an exceptional, phenomenal, and very rare occurrence for any team to win the National Championship. Irrelevant of Paige’s desires, or Geno’s desires, or my desires; there are times when you just do not win. Get used to it kid, that is life on this planet!

Make it to the Final Four and Lose.... because the team is SO young and inexperienced, and the veterans (Paige, Azzi, Aubrey, Caroline, et al) have missed more time than they've played. There will need to be a series of "IFs" that all align perfectly to overcome this fact of life.

Win it all

Because the Notre Dame game gets the jitters out of their system, and they learn not to let Hidalgo or any other stars take uncontested 3 pointers to beat them. Their overall level of talent is higher than almost everyone (absolutely including ND). They will play South Carolina in the title game because SC is most likely the best team no matter what early season game outcomes say.

National title.

The three stars are the main reason, but the supporting cast is going to have a great deal more experience in a UConn uniform by the end of the season. Last night was first time that Chen and the freshmen played a competitive opponent in a UConn uniform. And Brady's minutes were quite limited and usually with low expectations. That will be different by the Final Four.

Plus, adding Fudd and Griffin back in will add a ton of experience as well.

Final Four because our team is made up of wounded warriors and kids still learning about the game and themselves. Love every one of them and hope & pray they all stay healthy and listen to Geno.

They win it all

If Azzi stays healthy. Bueckers, Strong, and Fudd is enough firepower.

In the Title Game, because the team has Paige and Geno, but the Title will go to a team that has more experienced bigs.

WIN it ALL!!! NC #12 "is in the Barn!" [for those Ice Cream enthusiasts and dairy farmers]. No signs of panicking....

The loss to uNd is the stake in the ground that convinces the "youngsters" to believe what CD & Geno are telling them to do. There may be another stumble along the way, but after South Carolina @ Columbia, SC, there will be no more stumbling.

They will be convincing with amazing starts to games, and being up by 10+ points going into the second quarter, and going to "after-burners" in the 3rd quarter. Some games will be winning with some "ugly" parts of games [even entire games], but a win is still a win.

As great as PB is [and will be], I predict that Sarah Strong is the MOP of the final Four, and PB and Azzi will join her for the All- Final Four first team.

Go Huskies!!!

UConn wins it all, because the rest of the way they play with too much heart & guts for their opponents!
The younger players don't want the seniors to go out empty handed!
