I know UConn can't play in Maui every year (in fact I think you can only play there every 5 years), but there have to be better pre-season tournaments out there. I'm well aware they won the Paradise Jam in 2008 and I'm sure the paycheck is nice, but this field is just terrible. I'm really hoping the rest of their OOC schedule in 2012-2013 follows suit with last year as opposed to this year.

More like which team actually belongs. I don't know what UConn's roster is going to look like next year, but assuming they are halfway decent they should steam roll this field. At least in 2008 they had to play Miami and Wisconsin (both tough games if I recall). What's the best team on that list above? Wake Forest? Mason? Alford's New Mexico team? A lot of mediocrity there.

I like it better when Uconn plays in the tournaments at MSG. Those always have strong teams and its nice to have the chance to go to those games. I was holding out that they would play in the 2K sports classic next year or maybe even the Jimmy V.
