If you could form a new conference, who would you include?

I say we break away from the AAC, create our own conference and lure away the best hoops programs that also play high level FB. Of course this is a crazy thought, but what programs would you want to be part of such a conference?

I had trouble posting from my mobile phone and accidentally left off University of Florida, which I added afterwards. I agree about the travel. Those are good teams you suggested. I purposely left off Duke because the thought of having to play them at Cameron Indoor would make me puke.

I included SU reluctantly. My reasoning was to have another northeast program and like it or not, UConn and Syracuse have had many epic battles over the years. With that said, after how they helped block our attempt to join the AAC, I have no problem kicking them off my list.

I find it interesting that many like Oregon. They've been a very successful FB program of late, but their hoops program has been inconsistent and I don't recall any deep NCAA runs.

As for ND, they're all about themselves and I don't see what they would add by being added to a conference filled with great FB and BB schools.

Agreed. I'd like to have at least some level of geographic semblance.
I used to do this on NCAA 2K8! put all the best overall teams into the Big East and take out the Rutgers, Seton Halls, and Depauls of the old conference. Now that I'm more in touch with factors other than skill level, I'd like to see a conference like this:
