letting us participate next season ? Can you imagine ? If we want to STICK it to the NCAA for all they did to us this season - THIS is the way to do it...win #4...let them try and not include the 2 time defending champ in their little tournament...it would make the tourney a joke next season...put an asterisk next to it...they want to keep us out for something none of this years kids are responsible for ? let's STICK it to them...and win this whole damn thing...again

It would double their resolve.

Someone down below knocked it out of the park comparing what the NCAA did to North Carolina for paying players and committing academic fraud to what is happening to Connecticut with a retroactive rule.

Given that and their histrionics during the Boatright fiasco, it's fairly clear that there's some headhunting going on.

I feel like I can't even begin to think about the whole APR thing without having my head explode. Applying this rule retroactively, while using old scores that were compiled under a system that the NCAA itself unfairly punished schools for certain things to decide that UConn should be punished yet again after they already had 2 scholarships taken away this year.

I totally agree that it would double the NCAA's resolve if UConn were to somehow win it again. They would point to UConn and say "look, we punish the big boys even if it will cost some money."

Frankly I just don't see how the NCAA could act so ridiculously on this. There is absolutely no logic to the process they have used, and I know that we are not dealing with actual laws here, but it would surprise me if UConn took this without exploring their legal options.

If we win the national championship, forgive me that I won't be paying attention to how it makes the NCAA look. I will be paying attention to winning the National Championship.

LET'S DO IT.

They would make the APR rule retroactive one more year, in order to make us ineligible after the fact. They'd reverse the ruling on Boatright (and impound Mrs. Boatright's car), and declare Drummond's walk-on status a fraud. They'd Tyler Phommachanh Calhoun's house. I can see it now, as the NCAA investigator reports: "And most recently of all, a "Mojo Toga Party" was held on their Boneyard board, from which we have received more than two dozen reports of individual acts of perversion SO profound and disgusting that decorum prohibits listing them here".

They can't do that to our pledges. Only we can do that to our pledges.
