And this is why it is critical to keep pressing on and winning. Tradition is great, but experienced history carries more weight with recruits.

For instance, three of Tennessee's championships happened before current high schoolers were born, and three more, the Holdsclaw championships, happened before they were conscious. Our 2000 championship probably applies as well. So it's not like recruits don't know about NCs that happened prior to their becoming fans if WBB, but they have no emotional connection to those wins.

The point is you can never let up an rest on your laurels. Btw, Geno is well aware of this.

It has been 4 seasons in which Tenn has even been to the Final Four!! We have been there 5 years running and I expect that we will have 9 in a row,by the time the current Freshmen graduate Possibly 6 NCs during those 9 seasons Your point is well taken which is why getting something out of this recruiting class and then the potential of possibly an unbelievable 2014 Fr Class is so important! If we were to get 4/5 of the current listed recruits it would be a mind blowing class!
