Who?
This year the have PG Zach LaVine who has size at 6'3" and SG Allerik Freeman at 6'3". I don't remember anything between UConn and LaVine but I know UConn went at Freeman pretty hard early on so out if them he looks more likely if this does happen. However, their most intriguing player to me is PF/C Tony Parker. He's 6'9 260ish and I heard he was never very find of Howland. Top 30 out of high school and very heralded by top tier programs. He would be a very big fish on the market. Tony Parker was a UConn lean at one point.

So he would transfer?

Zach LaVine

Well, we know he can dunk! But there are other videos showing his range...

Possibly. People have even saying it could happen. He hasn't played much but it could depend in who gets hired but he may transfer if he doesn't get fired.

3uconn...if Howland gets fired and Freeman gets released from his LOI, could you see UCONN going after him?

Howland does need to go, though. He's lost complete control of the program after the 2008 FF run. Not sure what happened, but SI had a devastating article coming into this year.

Howland is a good coach, I think, but he needs to have low stakes. It's why he was a success at Northern Arizona and Pitt. He didn't need top recruits. He just got players who would stay four years and didn't have people in their ears about how much better they were than Howland was telling them.

I'll pass on Parker. Is out of shape and has a bad attitude.

Freeman is intriguing but when I saw him play he seemed like a bit of a gunner but he is talented.

LaVine would really be an upgrade for this team
When you said the staff was holding out for a coaching change, I have to imagine it was a situation like this at a high profile school.

Anderson has a better chance of declaring for the draft than transferring, he's not sitting out a year

Yes. He won't sit out.
Are you sure about that, are there recent examples of guys getting canned and then transfers playing immediately? Either way he wouldn't come here if both Bazz and Boat are back, his pops was already complaining this season about him not playing PG instead of Drew.

@JeffEisenberg: Y! Sports reports that UCLA coach Ben Howland has been notified that he has been fired, two sources confirmed.

He's gone.
