Do we pull an Indiana and schedule an FCS team the week of our bye to get a 12th game? We would need 7 wins for a bowl but it's not much different than needing six wins playing one FCS team.

FWIW: Georgia Southern is FBS not FCS. They replaced a CUSA team w/ a SunBelt team.

You would tink because USF is a league game and the league champion needs to be clean or they are out of the New Years bowl, something would be done to reschedule this game.

Fresno State
Marshall
Southern Miss
Colorado State
BYU

Scheduling an extra opponent must be an FBS team or it's not worth it as it wouldn't count towards bowl eligibility. Any one of those five teams I'd have no problem offering a return trip for coming here on the 23rd.

Wouldn't these schools need to drop a game from their schedule or else they would exceed the 12 game cap?

Good idea to start a new thread about rescheduling the USF game. I agree that 4 was just not enough.

That's the problem and why you might add an fcs team. Most schedule 11 but I believe are allowed 12.

The caveat is only if there are 14 Saturdays in a season (I didn't check 2017 to see).
