Really could have used her this year. I feel bad that her UConn career came to this, but with long term injuries other players are there to take over minutes she may have had. I was afraid somebody would be leaving with all the players we have. Anyway, she was a good Husky and will remain a Husky although she will be with another team. I wish her luck finding a team that needs her, but good health is what I really hope is in her future. Good Luck Ice, we still love you and will be rooting for you.

It's a shame to see UConn players enter the portal. I understand that playing time is a commodity and UConn is loaded with talent and the opportunities are not there for some on the roster. I hope Ayanna and Ice find a place where they can resurrect their NCAA careers.

The good thing about both Ice and Ayanna is they got 4 years at UConn, plus a degree. Unfortunately, major injuries curtailed their playing time.

While I tend to error on the positive side, after seeing what Serah accomphished at Wisconsin, I can see a healthy Ice being a 15 point and 8-10 rebound point per game at a 2nd tier Big 10 school. Ice showed a solid mid range game and was an above average defender and rebounder during the 2024 Final Four season and playoffs. Would a team looking for immediate experience, productivity and leadership invest some NIL money in Ice while providing her a year where she could fully use her skills? While I often wondered if Azzi could ever return to being a great player, perhaps Ice could also get her game back.

Well, wouldn't be surprised to see some of what she showed in high school to be the #5 recruit in her class. Hopefully she will be able to go 100%.

Hope she finds a place where she can succeed, but .... whew. She never scratched the surface of her hype, and it clears a roster spot for someone with potential.

I feel totally different about players that graduate. A player that goes in the portal but graduated completed the contract with UConn as far as I am concerned. UConn honored the commitment of 4 years and so did the player.

I think there could have been playing time for her this coming year, but it would have been a limited role. I hope she gets to go somewhere and contribute and playout her career her way.

Go Ice, I'll follow along and cheer wherever you go. Forever grateful for everything you gave to the program, especially crucial minutes and big shots in 2025 against SC and UCLA. You earned that championship ring!

Unfortunately, the Ivies do not take grad transfers. If a player graduates from an Ivy in their 3rd year, they can begin a graduate degree, however cannot play a 5th year.

I think she was trying to LEARN to be a pass first center. It’s very difficult to become a completely different player versus adding skills to the player you’ve always been.
