First time, I started in Eugene & then moved to OSU. First, both are nice schools & Oregon has the greatest athletic facilities I h ever seen. OSU are on par w UConn, but OU is off the charts. I wandered around wearing UConn hat and shirt & not one person said a thing. I understand that at OU, but I was surprised that no one at OSU even acknowledged. I w think if some guy was wandering around UConn in OSU gear today someone w h at least wished him luck. Maybe we treat women's BB more seriously, but at the end of my romp, I started asking people about the game and no one knew about it. I know, small sample - 10 people, but I don't think many here care.

OSU Grad Here: OSU & UO just came off spring break. I would say that many on campus may not even know who is UCONN. Those that follow the hoop scene certainly do. I hope you were able to walk our campus, and on a sunny day. OSU is a beautiful school in the spring. Hoping for a great game from both teams.

I gave you an OSU avatar so that you don't have to introduce yourself every time. Unless you want to, of course.

It was a beautiful day to walk around & OSU has a very nice campus. I love you old BB arena, must be real loud when the Beavers are rolling. On the men's side, it has been a long drought since Ralph Miller retired. Hopefully, the new coach can get them competitive again. A lot of good players were there in the 70s & 80s.

Phil Knight has pumped oodles of cash into Oregon. Nike has, as Carl Sagan would say, billions and billions.
Yea, Oregon is basically the University of Nike.

And wasn't there a political dust-up in which students protested Nike's labor practices abroad, and Knight threatened to withdraw support, or something like that?

Off Topic/an aside.

As a recreational cyclist, the first thing I did when I clicked this thread, was a word search on rain. I'll be forever grateful to the Pacific Northwesterner's<sp> who long ago opined, in a far off place called usenet, that "if we didn't ride in rain, we'd never ride at all". Whether it's sunny, depends a lot of "you".
