We have to basically resign ourselves to the fact that none of our big men are going to make big contributions this year. Daniels drifts far too much for my liking. I realize he is not the prototypical 4, he has been thrust into that role by necessity. However, he seems to play way too disinterested, his moves around the hoop are not that great due to his poor ball-handling skills. I don't mind him popping a few 3's, as he does have a good release. However, he needs to be more active on offense, learn to take the 10-footer when given rather than trying spin moves that leave him out of control and resulting in poor shot selection (happened at least 4 times yesterday). And he HAS to rebound more….pure and simple. He has the height, he just needs to man up and mix it up more underneath. Relative to last year, particularly the last 4 games, he has been the biggest disappointment this year, in my opinion. Unless somebody lights a fire under him, he has no shot at going to the NBA after this year, so that silly talk can be ended.
I think Daniels is the biggest liability right now...
