...and I figured this board was as good as any.

The best part is that that isn't all of them. In any event it seems like an eloquent response to those who stop by to question what UConn brings to the table. There is much more, but national championships is certainly a part of it.

The paint chipping off of the ceiling does not inspire confidence in our facilities...

He's not wrong.
You and your wife go to visit her sister and the sister's new born in the hospital. Your wife tells her sister what a beautiful baby. You say "What are you kidding me? He's all splotchy and has eczema, and what's up with that head? I haven't seen anything like that since the last Aliens movie." You are not wrong, but I don't envy you your car ride home.

Unparalleled women's basketball history...I'm assuming those blue trophies are the women's NC trophies..although there should be three more.

Impressive display of the men/women's championship trophies.

If you need confidence in facilities, just google UCONN Basketball Champions Center. I think you will find some comfort there.
I believe one of blue trophies is for field hockey.
If they wanted to include ALL National Championship trophies in the picture, they'd need to break out the panoramic lense.

Lol....no.

NCAA trophies have a clear piece of glass in the middle now - they used to be gold. (e.g. The trophies on the perimeter.)

You're seeing the blue seats through the trophies.

It doesn't matter which sport you win, you get that trophy now. (And whatever promotional trophies come with it - if you win in hoops or football, you get any number of trophies from the NCAA promotional partners.)

If you look at that picture and your first thought is that you need to comment about the paint....

1) F--- you.
2) Pay attention. They're repairing in the coming year.
3) F--- you again.

Are you the guy responsible for maintenance or something? I didn't call your wife ugly, I said the roof looks like crap.

1. It's not paint. 2. It was a rather expensive innovation.
"Forget the tried and true metal and wood beams. Let's go with something new to give that soft pillow case effect."

Laura J. Cruickshank, UConn's master planner and chief architect, said the domed 25-year-old pavilion employed "an unusual type of construction in 1990, fairly innovative for the time," and will be "extremely complicated" to fix.

The dome includes a "triangular network of metal-clad panels with a fabric-wrapped insulated cover on the interior," according to the resolution prepared for the trustees. "As the building has aged, and most likely due to temperature variations and high-density light exposure, the fabric wrap on the interior of the panels has started to degrade, tear and flake."

Cruickshank said: "You'll see this fabric kind of dripping from the ceiling," especially in the lower third of the dome.

To fix the fabric, Cruickshank said, extensive scaffolding will have to be set up inside the dome. That work is expected to start next spring. The roof and ceiling repairs are expected to cost $5.5 million to $6.5 million.

My wife things I'm having an affair with UConn so it's practically the same thing.
