when someone did the poll back then aboot what team most excited you to be back in the big east, i believe providence came on top. then, many posts were 'i had no idea aboot the friar thing.'
i voted pc. twice.
the first game was december 16, 1927. we won, 29-21. 50+ years later, 1977, we visited them for the first time. prolly had to wait for that pest control company with the termite on the roof to fumigate the arena. lol.
and now, it begins again.
i wonder how many other husky fans of the rivalry, who, like me, want to stomp them and crush them, but when not playing us, hope they win the game?

Elated? Hardly, we suck, losing our PG killed the season. I never thought for one second until the game was played that we would win and then I saw another clankity clank clank off the iron type team and thought; hey, we have chance. I take no pride in this win this year. This thread did indeed bring some fun to a dreary season though. Thanks.
