when the (speculated) names (possibly) being discussed are "Navy,Air Force,Temple,Central Florida,East Carolina,Memphis and Houston" ( with no disrespect intended to any of those institutions), why would UConn even consider staying put and how could the conference survive(with replacements like that) if UConn and any other BE school left? And the fly in the ointment is that the time factor necessary for a thorough evaluation of ALL of the ramifications and for solid decision-making just isn't there(as indicated in the article).
