I am sad

The air in the Husky balloon is gone after today. I am tired of chasing points we gave away (not getting 3 on the first drive) all day. Damn!

We didn't lose to a better team today.

I am sad.

Yea, I was sad. But, its also been a long time since we have been able to say this. Team is improving. Pieces are there. Need to clean it all up and have coaching get much, much better on gameday. Just, unbearable mistakes from the headsets.

Decision wasn't as bad as the play call. The qb sneak is supposed to be run between the lineman not dry hump the lineman.

That play call to end the half was an abomination. So many mental errors this team and coaching staff makes.

That was a long shot for a QB sneak. They gave that chance for points away with the play call, you're right.

This was a worst loss at the Rent candidate right up there with UNC. Western Michigan and Townsend

Players did not lose it. The headsets lost it. Players play, coaches coach... plain and simple. Ugly way to lose a game.

Our QB had over 100 yards of rushing and over 300 yards of passing and we still lost. I think frustrated beyond belief sums up the way I feel about today.

Our defense could have made the difference. Honestly, I feel they have not been nearly as good as they where in the past few years. I mean, we still can't stop any team that plays an option style game and we give huge amount of yards at the most inopportune times. Disappointed in our D.

I see it differently Joey. We deserved to win. USF happened to prevail.
They couldn't stop them in the 2nd half. When they had the chance at the end to hopefully tie the game, they couldn't stop the run. Piss poor play in the 1st half and terrible coaching decisions lead to a loss. When Uconn was down 28-13 after an easy td for USF you still thought their was a chance? What game were you watching? Out coached and out executed.

Was pretty bad, but come on, those are some All time losses in my opinion.

I was going to say...an 8 point loss to a former BE opponent doesn't come close to getting blown out by a FCS team.

Worst ever (in my opinion) was Rutgers at home in 2009, in our first game since Jazz's passing. It's not close, either (in my opinion).

Sad. PISSED. All of those emotions.

We were better offensively than USF and moved the chains. Looked like we had some ideas of what to do. (except the continued calls for Ron Johnson ... where we need to block differently or just stop giving him the ball) USF - to be fair - has more explosive playmakers. About 5 kids that can really make a long play, including that QB. But, our kid delivers a far better ball and we have kids advancing. Which leaves me questioning (i.) why not more TE plays? Far safer than the angled passes to WRs and backs. And, Bloom keeps catching really tough balls. (ii.) why aren't we seeing advancing Beals and Aaron McLean? You see flashes a week ago or a few weeks ago & then not repeated. Neither of these two require far better OLine play. Both can be fairly instant 3-5 seconds from snap. The only answer I have to getting in the endzone after so much good play is to take chances with our tall WRs/TEs in the endzone. Shireffs, imo, has thrown more far beyond the boundary than in the conceivable reach of anyone in blue. Defense? Hurts to see you get gashed with long runs or wide open guys when you have so many plays that USF was just stopped.

I accept Diaco's response. It was what the fans and U. deserves. That was one we should have won. I wanted that first FG on the first drive too.

The "Sneak"? Frankly, we have gone 7 weeks in and Shireffs is one of the best I have ever seen with that. One time he went 8 yards with it. His percentage is rather high. However, teams watch film. I think we can say that it has absolutely been overdone. In fact, look "Sneak" ... drop back and lob one to a TE?
