Speaking of blocks I thought Whalley had at least 5 by himself and would have guessed 8 or more by the team. The box score for the team was only four (whalley 2, Sonogo 2). Is there something I am missing in how the official scorers tabulate these as it always seems to be grossly understated when a shot blocking team is playing?

I’m pretty sure UConn played the SHU players. SHU was fired up, and I’d be shocked if Aiken and Mamu weren’t reacting to UConn players quietly talking smack. Whaley destroyed Mamu defensively on the block and he tends to talk. It also looks like maybe Martin said something to Aiken before his shot. We got to them and they tightened up.
