Genuinely curious what fellow 'yarders think about this...

No. Sometimes you have to preserve your self-respect and move on in life.

Not sure I understand the question. You're saying we go independent in football, full member of ACC for other sports, and scheduling agreement with ACC in football? That would be an excellent arrangement from my point of view, as long as we can withdraw at will to go the B1G, or at least put an option to the ACC: they have to either make us a full member on equal terms with other full members, or we can leave without an exit fee and with all our media rights.

Why would the ACC give Uconn the same treatment as ND? Is that what you are proposing as the hypothetical?

It wouldn't be quite the same, UConn would get 3 games to ND's promised 5, essentially created a "football" team for balanced scheduling, and balancing all other sports.

I don't feel too strongly about the question either way, but honestly I wouldn't totally poo-poo it at this point

It appears half the members of this message board have no self-respect.

You don't want to permanently Temple-ize yourself. Always considered the easy score.

You win the debate (if there was one) on the simple fact that I knew exactly what you were talking about.
