Husky sightings in Everett

I tried watching a few minutes. Just terrible basketball, I couldn't do it.

Storm will play a few games at a casino in Everett but most of their home games at UW's arena.

Too many TOs by both teams. Canada has 6 already.

Of note, the announcers said Bird has not had surgery yet and that her workers comp claim is being held up. That seems bizarre.

Speaking of Huskies where you don’t expect them, I’m noticing that KML was in Seattle’s starting line-up, both at the beginning of the game and the beginning of the second half. As of the end of the third quarter, she has played 19 out of a possible 30 minutes, and has 8 points, 2 assists, 3-for-5 shooting, and 3 rebounds. Her plus/minus (to the extent that is significant, is +16. Seattle is now up by 8 at the beginning of the 4th quarter.

KML has not shown any obvious defensive liabilities to my eyes, which is also a surprise.

Yeah I tuned in again at the end. Canada finished the game on a tear. Howard had a big day. Maybe they won't be too bad this year despite all the injuries.

Looking down the road, if Canada proves to be a starting caliber PG in the WNBA, they look really solid for a long way down the road. Bird obviously can't play forever but they might have her eventual replacement on hand now. Young nucleus of Stewie, Loyd, Howard, add Magbebor next season.

Jordin Canada is a stud. Forget the TO's, she cannot be stopped going to the rim.
She's very quick and protects the ball well. She can be wild, but most of the drives today got her buckets or FTs.
