Not a fan on a lot of levels. First, strongly prefer returning to our 80 something year old tradition of an all white husky for the mascot. Second, for those who hated the prior mascot, because it is “cartoony”, this one is worse.

The Husky Dog logo is the official logo of UConn Division I sports teams, and as such is reserved primarily for use on athletic uniforms and retail merchandise. Esports is not part of the Athletic Department, therefore they may not use the Husky Dog logo. Use of the Husky Dog logos (old and new) is not permitted for Registered Student Organizations.
The logo on that tweet is most likely what the Esports Club came up with on their own. It is not something the Athletic Department will be using.
