>>Sorry all you Five Guys and Plan B fans, but Mooyah is now the official burger of your state university athletic program. How does a fast food restaurant get to be the official choice of the flagship university?

University of Connecticut spokesman Mike Enright said it’s part of the school’s contract with IMG Worldwide, a marketing, branding and talent management agency.“IMG sells the corporate sponsorships. IMG pays us for the rights to our corporate sponsorships,” Enright said. “Our agreement is with their sports marketing division.”He said UConn gets between $7 million and $8 million annually for the deal. In return, companies like Mooyah and Webster Bank can pay to get the official UConn designation. Mooyah is in the midst of an expansion to nearly 70 restaurants around the country.<<

and Moe’s Southwest Grill is the Official Burrito of UConn Athletics

I honestly thought "Official Burrito of UConn Athletics" was a joke... That's awesome. Hahaha

So... does this mean there will be Mooyah's and Moe's inside Rentschler?

Not a chance. It would be just too logical for them to take space at the Rent.

Well it probably would not make sense for them financially to operate a store in a place that is only open 6-7 times a year. But they might have their products at the vending windows that are staffed by volunteers.

LOVE MOE'S!!!!!! Since they support UCONN i'll have to go even more now!!!

I just saw that Mooyah is based out of Dallas. It looks like our expanded AAC footprint is already paying dividends

Not a big fan of Moe's. There's one in Southington & I'm nonplussed.
I know that Moe's products can also be purchased at B.J.'s Wholesale in Southington in the cases opposite the deli aisle, but have yet to try any. May have to get some for tailgating to support UCONN.

Just showed this thread to my son & he mentioned that both Moe's & Mooyah are in the new downtown Storrs development on Dog Lane.

Big fan of all the before mentioned establishments. However, it would be worth the drive down the New Haven Green if you haven't tried the Shake Shack. Definitely worth the trip!! Fries, Burgers, and Shakes are outstanding!!! Oh yeah, they serve beer as well which makes them the hands down winner, IMO......

I live in Southington too and love Moe's. Best thing about the one here is Moe's Mondays. Burrito and drink for $6. Can't beat it!

Since moes pushes catering there is no reason they couldn't set up a kiosk at the games to serve. Hope we see it.

Moe's quality can vary by location and time of day. The one in Southington suffers from the teenage work ethic. The one at Evergreen Walk is consistently very good. The one in New Haven near Audbon Street is terrible.

I may have eaten there a time or two.
