Huskies in the Pros (Baseball)

Nice bounce back outing for Ben last night. 3 IP, 2 H, 0 BB, 1 R. Dodgers could really use a long option out of the pen. The bullpen is one of the best in the league, so him establishing a role early on is going to pay massive dividends for him and the ballclub.

Looking something on Zach Fogel. Had great Fall and I was expecting a Greenville Drive roster.

Not on roster. Checked everywhere. NADA

Nothing new on Cate either.
Thanks. I have been searching for info on Cate as well. It may be the end of the road for him as he is 27. Last I knew is that he became a free agent at the end of last season from Washington organization.

Glasnow got hurt again (it's more like news when he doesn't), so Dodgers brought in Casparius against my Pirates. He's killing us. 2 IP, 2Ks, 0 baserunners, and only 24 pitches.

Update: 3 IP, 4Ks, 1 hit (Cutch single), 41 pitches.

Final line: 3,2 IP, 2 hits, 54 pitches.

From Dom Amore’s Sunday column:

-> This early baseball season finds a few local guys on the cusp of breaking into the big leagues. Former CCSU slugger TT Bowens has reached Triple A in the Orioles’ organization, homering three times in the early going for Norfolk. UConn’s Anthony Prato (two homers in 38 at bats) and Patrick Winkel (two homers in first 16 at-bats) homered back-to-back for the Twins’ St. Paul affiliate this week. Jacob Wallace, reliever from UConn, has 12 strikeouts in 11 innings for Omaha, the Royals top affiliate. <-
