Is Ayanna sporting a tattoo?
I don't think it's new, didn't she wear an (fore)arm sleeve during games her freshman season?

Edit: I just watched the closing minutes of the BE Tournament game against Georgetown in Ayanna's freshman season...she wore a white forearm sleeve on her left arm. I assumed it was tattoo related.

Ashlynn has the reputation of being a practice animal, and yes, Caroline deserves to catch a break.
Ashlynn's smile is unrivaled . . . unequaled . . . unsurpassed!

well, how embarrassing. thanks for clearing that up!

... but i knew this already.

maybe some BYers didn't though. i'm pretty sure they all wish she didn't need the wrap. ... oops, make that sleeve.

and of course i want yanna to be as comfortable as conceivable. who wouldn't?

After 52 years in martial arts...I have learned one thing that applies to all sports. You have to put in the work, you have to practice, you have to condition, and you have to build strength...because if you don't you can be sure that your competition is. It is good to see how serious they are about the things that matter no one is going to hand them a championship and there are teams out there that are just as hungry, who think they deserve it, who are just as talented, and who are willing to work hard to get it. I can't wait to see this team in action, to see their improvement over the season, and to watch them win number 12.

Absolutely right about the nature of competition. AND martial arts!

I haven’t put in 52 years, but I did a lot in my younger days, and even wrote a series of martial arts novels, and what you just said is a major theme. And it’s not just physical. It’s mental and emotional conditioning too. I might call it spiritual. Qi. Learning how to rouse one’s fighting spirit and sustain it. Paige is a total black belt, prolly around 9th dan. I can’t wait to see if she can set the tone for the whole team.
