Hurley Suspension?

I disagree alot with Hurley's antics but coaches used to literally throw furniture across the court and were heralded as passionate all time coaches.

It's odd the hate Hurley gets in the social media world. I wonder if Bobby Knight, Coach K, and Calhoun would be nationally hated if social media was more prevalent during their heights as head coaches.
furniture…water bottles…

If this isn't contact, this shot must be doctored. This is Earl Weaver plus. You can see the refs right arm pushed over to his midline. There isn't even a molecule of air between Hurley's torso and the refs right arm. He's close enough where calling it contact or not is semantics.

Can only disagree with one point: air is not a molecule.

well you can touch a ref - just not yelling - seen many put an arm around or a slight touch by a player with a smile.

Regardless of whether he actually touched or simply bumped the referee, Hurley has to be better than that. I love his passion and fire, and overall I think he has done a much better job managing it this season. However, in that situation he absolutely deserved to be ejected.
I agree, but it is yet another example of the Big East treating UConn in an inconsistent and illogical manner.

Haven’t sat in a game chat in years because of this.

Cooley’s infamous “spoiled, entitled” comments regarding our fan base were probably meant in a slightly different way, coming from his perspective; but man, he’s not wrong at all. We have a lot of petulant, spoiled, entitled brats in this fan base. Dare I saw we are becoming too much like Kentucky fans?
Until we start showing up on coaches' lawn, sending death threats to refs and trying to tank their business with reviews, and harassing players we don't like (Tubby Smith's kid) or who screwed up, no, we are nowhere near as close.

And if Smart had gone crazy on a no call in that situation you’d have said they should let the players decide it. I’m sure there were at least 2 other penalties that occurred in that sequence. If you really looked. Unless Silas got grabbed or tackled or outright pushed that play isn’t getting called.

It's pretty simple, if it's a foul it's a foul and should be called. It wasn't a foul.
