Hurley Presser

No one is going to feel sorry for Hurley or UConn. The haters are out there and Hurley tries to deflect from his players. Wouldn’t make a big deal out of this but the media is.

And still couldn’t beat a 7-5 team lmaooo. So much for needing sign signals
Don’t let this distract you from the fact that a huge portion of Ohio State’s fanbase wanted Ryan Day fired about a month and a half before they won the title lol. And some say UConn’s fanbase is off it’s rocker.

Them people were so upset he had to hire security for his family. Literally coaching for his life during the CFP.

Imagine being happy for Ohio State winning a title. Rooting for them is practically like rooting for Iran in the Olympics lol.

Literally watched the Pelicans vs Jazz instead of watching that championship.

Calhoun dishing it back to the media who asks him dumb questions isn’t the same as Hurley’s consistent berating and belittling of officials doing their job.

There’s a way to be competitive and compassionate without being disrespectful and plenty of coaches don’t cross that line. Are there many clips of other coaches calling refs b words, jokes, and clowns as consistently as Hurley does?

I’m convinced you were not around for any part of the Calhoun era.

These guys are insufferable.

I thought that Scott did a pretty good impression of Dan. My take is that this was some valid criticism from guys that seem to like Dan. Dan has some room for improvement without having to change completely to something fake. I have been around for a long time and saw Calhoun in all his glory as well.

They've been on this all season, enough already. You would think Hurley assaulted a small child on the court with the way they keep talking about him. This whole sanctity of sports thing is way more annoying than any behavior on the sideline. This is sports, it's not church. Coaches yell at refs, they're all big boys and can handle it.

If the refs don't want to be yelled at by Dan Hurley maybe they should stop blowing so many calls. And if that doesn't work they can go home and cry about their unfair treatment by Dan Hurley into their very large paychecks

This is the stuff Calhoun got ejected for.

Didn’t call the officials out of name. And the things Calhoun got Ts for are laughable compared to what Hurley gets away with. Meanwhile we’ve seen Hurley call a ref the b word with no consequence.

I suggest before commenting you get some facts and then come back and see me. ;)

Also the fact that he got scolded by the Big East for his comments while Hurley whines almost every postgame about officials is also hilarious and goes to show how much the conference actually lets him skate with his actions.

I mean just look at what he got reprimanded for in comparison to what Hurley says today lol

“If you watched that game, I wasn’t on the officials that much at all the entire evening, but when you have inexperienced people, and I said to him, the problem is you’ve been reading that bulletin too much,” said Calhoun, who hadn’t been ejected since Feb. 9, 2002, in an overtime loss at St. John’s.

“If you hit a guy for his foot being out of the box, you’re a good official all of a sudden,” he said. “It was the thing that most of us (coaches) feared ... It hasn’t affected me, I don’t think, until this particular game.”

“If it continues, no question, I’m going to have to make adjustments, I don’t want to be giving points for our team.” Calhoun said. “But I don’t think I’m going to get two more technicals this year for laughing.

“Maybe crying,” he added with a laugh.

Calhoun said afterward that while another referee apparently interpreted the laughter as ridiculing Rutecki's foul call, he could have been laughing over anything and added, "Maybe I had gas."

Classic Calhoun. Lol

Calhoun being the cuddly, docile teddy bear on the sidelines who didn't berate officials or yank players for mistakes is one of the funniest, new Boneyard bits
I know exactly who is doing it, thankfully he blocked me.

Chris Beard strangling his fiancee was out of the news cycle faster than this

That’s one way to twist something nobody said

Yeah but the police report didn’t include anything about him claiming to be the best coach in the sport. Could he have said it? Sure. But if there’s no documented evidence of it, boneyard lawyers tell me it never happened.

I feel like it’s okay to not win the championship every year and Hurley has been having unrealistic expectations of this roster since the summer.

He can’t continue to hold the expectations of the 23’ and 24’ team over every roster he has from here on out. That’s not healthy and fair to his guys.
Maybe not fair to a roster in place but no doubt an important factor for recruiting.
