This is a must watch. Every time he speaks I’m ready to run through a wall. Love our coach!
To take this a step further. College basketball and sports in general have become boring in recent years. Everyone is so guarded about showing off their personality and giving an opinion. No celebrating, no tussling, no controversy...no fun. Hurley is necessary, we need people like him and Barkley who speak their mind. The coaches used to be so much more interesting and so did the players.Man I love this. We've gotten so soft and precious in recent years. I love that Hurley calls it out. He's not backing off of anything and he's not apologizing for the way he is because there's nothing wrong with the way he is. People want what he has and with that will come people hanging on every little thing he does looking to take him down a peg. Fark em.
Dunno, they had a pretty good relationship until recently from Goodman's mouth.Assuming the reporter DH is talking about is Goodman
Does anyone in the media really have a bad relationship with Danny? I saw generic basketball pages say something but don’t recall any specific members saying they didn’t like it.Dunno, they had a pretty good relationship until recently from Goodman's mouth.

Hurley seems pretty beloved by the media.
It's about Goodman.Dunno, they had a pretty good relationship until recently from Goodman's mouth.
Nobody is complaining about how he interacts with his playersHurley is as honest as it gets and he isn't cheating. His players and ex players love him and so do the parents of those players. So how does tough coaching not work if he's won back to back championships? Hurley actually has toned it down, it's only when he does flip out it will be news.
Tough coaching works when you can adapt to the times, which Hurley has done.
Believe or not some are. I’ve seen randos on Twitter pearl clutching when Dan called the team soft a few games back. Society has become soft in general.Nobody is complaining about how he interacts with his players
Jay Williams has no problem with Hurley and Seth Greenberg always the voice of reason, and Jay Bilas is so off base here.

So call out every coach. Or else it seems it’s just agenda driven. Mr. Life Long. They did the same thing to Jim Calhoun in regards to his behavior with the media. I hope Hurley never changes.Jay Williams, Jersey native, and Seth Greenberg who has a personal relationship with Hurley.
Basically guys who are friends with Hurley so who are defending him. It’s clear he has a lot of friends in the media. I’m happy Jay and Rece talked about how competitiveness isn’t an excuse for bad behavior.
There are plenty of coaches who are competitive who don’t act and belittle people that way.
