Great interview. Great questions and great answers. Enjoying the ride. Thanks for posting SS.

The recruiting outlook that starts about the 5 minute mark was interesting. Makes you think about recruits they were after and then all of a sudden it doesn't look like they're recruiting the player any more.
That's exactly what i thought of too. I went through a little list of kids it looked like we were really high on, then never heard about again.
Interesting stuff

Hopefully people start to trust the staff when there's someone we should "obviously" be trying to get and then we don't go after them hard. It's not an accident that this team is so tightly knit and performing at this level.

That's why we shouldn't worry about it when we aren't on a local recruit... better to have a small but bought-in class than someone who doesn't fit our culture.

It's foolish to recruit anyone just because they're talented in hs. Most 4* recruits don't end up being very good in college. Gotta find the right type of guy, even if theu aren't strictly as talented (ie. Abraham).

Did his answer sound like anyone we know???

No chance. There will be a couple guys here who know better.

Definitely feels like he heard and internalized Jay Wright here, a coach who learned the hard way that culture is first and then really killed it for a while.
