Hurley doing Cameo messages

Funny timing.

I was about to create a thread about how above and beyond my experience was with Jim Calhoun on Cameo. A good buddy who is a big UConn fan was hospitalized earlier this week and when I requested Jim’s Cameo, he responded within two hours with an incredibly thoughtful, emotional and heart-felt three-minute message for my friend. Coach even gave me homework to report back to him with updates with how my friend is doing. Absolutely incredible.

Wouldn’t mind waking up to a “foot stays on gas” message

You're welcome. :)

Four weeks ago I got a call and when I answered I got:

"Hey, this is Coach Hurley. Ummmm...shut up, Dove."
I was actually thinking having Coach Calhoun do this would be funny. Not funny enough to actually spend the money on it mind you, but conceptually funny.

Funny as here in JC I have mingled with plenty of Hurley's high school buddies and they are all like "what the $%$%#$" ???? when I say he is doing cameos when they depicted him as someone who would hang on the corner with his boys drinking beers and being snarky to the ladies walking by.

I big shout out to Andrea for rescuing him!

It hurts to share that my friend passed about two weeks ago at Hartford Hospital, due to complications from his battle with leukemia.

I learned from not only him, but from also his friends and family, that he watched the Calhoun video multiple times a day whenever he needed a boost. In that video, Calhoun encouraged my friend to "win every day" as that was the mantra he lived by during his cancer treatment.

In his honor, I will be donating to the Husky Ticket Project, as, to me, this charity is the perfect blend of his UConn fandom and his lifelong passion of teaching and coaching students basketball.
