Only meaningful tidbit I could pick up on is that we can’t be without AK and Hassan at same time, and that Ahmad played well in the first half. No mention of Aidan - feels like he gave up on him some today.

Solo said they need to get better on defense. Have lots of games to turn it around.

Hurley called out our defense for being “dreadful”. Mentioned we were very sloppy, undisciplined.

Can’t afford to have players like Alex & Hass sitting for the 1st half. Of course mentioned Samson needing to be more disciplined.

Liked Nowell in 1st half, thought 2nd half showed some inexperience but specifically said they have to find him more minutes

Not a single word about Mahaney

Mentioned the last play was supposed to have multiple cutting and/or driving options, and that it “obviously didn’t play out that way”

Same thing yesterday. I think it was technical. It just takes a while to get the mic ready for the first question.

My guess is his recently discovered love of offense got in the way of his usual focus on making sure his guys can defend. I didn’t understand it. Solo is bulky but not tall. So is Nowell. So if you add a third guard you’d think he should be at least 6’4.

I read that thread I think you’re referring to. They can’t even spell Mahaney correctly most of the time. Not a lot of strong insights from the crew in that thread. Most seem bitter he left StM and some seem like they want him to fail because of it

He was an All-Conference in the WCC remember. That was suppose to mean a lot.

Looking back, maybe they should have focused on getting Brea instead of Mahaney. Though Brea is pretty much purely a shooter and not ball handler. Owell.

Let’s stop with this. Reminds me of those baseball trades where people are bitching the whole season about the guy they traded or didn’t get.
Maheney is who we’ve got, deal with it.

Hurley could have had Brea (all indications, UCONN was where Brea wanted to go). Hurley chose AM over Brea because he thought he would be able to play the point. It appears right now AM cannot play the point or defense.
