Hump Day (11/6) games: Ohio State, Notre Dame, Tennessee

Nothing that would qualify as a marquee matchup this evening, but for those wanting to catch a game:

• #12 Ohio State at Florida (5:30 ET, SEC Network+). Florida has generally looked bad this season but is fresh off a win at Oklahoma. Ohio State seems to have stagnated a bit, with a loss at Duke and then a lackluster win over Maine.
  
• Michigan State at #3 Notre Dame (7:00 ET, ACC Network). The game itself probably won't be much to see, but there's backstory drama as Taya Reimer visits what used to be her home gym.
  
• Troy at #11 Tennessee (7:00 ET, SEC Network+). Yet another soft home game for the resurgent Lady Vols. (Actually, Troy isn't as bad as Alabama State, but still ....) This will be Tennessee's last warmup game before hosting Texas.
• Oklahoma at South Dakota State (8:00 ET, ESPN3). A struggling Oklahoma squad, with recent losses to Little Rock and Florida, travels to what is the likely 2nd-best mid-major in the country.

I haven't been able to connect to the Tennessee-Troy game, for some weird reason.

The Notre Dame game has been rather uneventful. ND is up by 15 midway through 2Q. I should probably just tune in for the postgame handshake line

Yes, ND has looked good. Also, Michigan State has been dreadful. They're shooting 19% and have 11 turnovers (many of them unforced).

Coach Cunningham mentioned at the halftime interview that since getting back to South Bend, they've focused on defense and maintaining focus on that end.

The issue is that she hasn't developed. She was adequate as a backup center to Achonwa her freshman year, but she doesn't seem to have improved at all since then.

Well, one of those 4 wins was against a non-D1 school. Another was against Alabama State, the last team Tennessee beat. The other two teams are also among the dregs of Division 1.

One thing standing out in this Notre Dame game is that when Mich S,t as bad as they are, runs they beat Notre dame down the court and Shepard struggles going up and down a few times without any half court set up.
