How's this year's 3 pt shooting?

The fact that concerns me is UConn 3 point shooting percentage in the first quarter of games. I'm guessing it's not very good. Why? Is it something to do with warmups?

Back in the ICE ages, I remember warmups with four or more balls being shot at approximately the same time. I always hated that. You never knew if your shot was going in, it would be knocked by another shot. Do they still warm up this way?

My thinking is, they should come up with a better three point warm up. Am I the only one who notices this?

What's interesting to me about that graphic (aside from UConn leading the nation in % of 3's made) is that SC, LSU and Vandy are all up there for %'s. Also nice to see Marquette, Villanova, and Creighton continuing to recruit and perform well with 3's...

And Tennessee by far takes the most 3's, but is pretty low with their %'s made. Maybe Kim needs to teach some post scoring instead of jacking up the 3's? We will know more Sunday on that one...

Not just that but the real strength this year is that we have so many different players who are confident taking them. It's pretty tough leaving anyone open.

Along these lines there is a clustering around a line where the two stats are positively correlated,as there should be. If you can hit a high percentage keep shooting the treys. If not don’t.

Tenn and S Carolina are the two clear outliers. The former should shoot fewer threes, the latter more.
